One course, two threads — day trading and swing options — built around four skill pillars instead of a calendar. Each pillar unlocks the next once its capstone is passed, so pace is set by what you've proven, not by the date.
Fluency in the vocabulary and mechanics of both markets and options, before any money is on the line.
Day Trade: Order types, liquidity, session structure
Swing Options: Same mechanics — wide options spreads punish thin liquidity too
Day Trade: Short-dated options for fast entries/exits
Swing Options: Calls, puts, strike, premium, expiration, ITM/OTM/ATM
Day Trade: Rarely needed for an intraday read
Swing Options: P/E and growth basics behind a multi-week thesis
Day Trade: 1–15 min timeframes, volume at price
Swing Options: Daily/weekly candles, 1–4 week setups
Day Trade: Stop-loss based sizing, daily loss limit
Swing Options: Max-loss-defined sizing from spread width
Day Trade: Trending vs. range-bound sessions
Swing Options: IV regime — high vs. low volatility pricing
Day Trade: Entry/exit log, same session
Swing Options: Greeks at entry, DTE, adjustment triggers
If you can't explain a trade in your own words before you take it, you don't understand it well enough to take it.
Day Trade: What / Why / How / Mistakes / Example
Swing Options: Same framework, applied to a spread instead of a scalp
Day Trade: Explain a scalp out loud, then review it
Swing Options: Explain a strike/expiration choice out loud
Day Trade: Bull/bear case for the next 30 minutes
Swing Options: Bull/bear case through the next earnings or macro print
Day Trade: Discord #teach-back writeup
Swing Options: Discord #teach-back writeup
Turn a validated idea into a sized, executed, reviewed position — first on paper, then small and real.
Day Trade: Screen → Thesis → Execute → Review
Swing Options: Screen → Thesis → Execute → Review
Day Trade: Filled out live for a real setup
Swing Options: Filled out live for a real spread
Day Trade: Rules written before real capital
Swing Options: Same, defined-risk only, no naked positions
Day Trade: First real day trades, tight risk caps
Swing Options: First live credit spread or covered call
Day Trade: Daily loss limit, enforced
Swing Options: Max concurrent positions, enforced
Day Trade: Same-day review, no revenge trading
Swing Options: Manage through expiration vs. close early
Day Trade: Write the exact condition that proves you wrong
Swing Options: Write the exact condition that proves you wrong
See setups fast and accurately enough that recognition itself becomes the edge — and know when a pattern is more likely to fail than hold.
Day Trade: Trend/range, breakout+volume, S/R retests
Swing Options: Same patterns, read on daily/weekly timeframes
Day Trade: Call the pattern — no ticker, no date
Swing Options: Call the pattern — no ticker, no date
Day Trade: Stack signals to time an entry
Swing Options: Same, plus picks the strike and expiration
Day Trade: False breakouts, unconfirmed volume
Swing Options: + IV crush, assignment risk, theta bleed
Day Trade: Rolling win-rate sample required first
Swing Options: Layering positions without stacking correlated risk
Day Trade: Intraday volume/range filters
Swing Options: IV rank, earnings calendar, chain liquidity
A final portfolio review across both journals, a recorded "teach it back" lesson in front of the cohort, and a track declaration — Day Trading, Swing Options, or Hybrid — before your Discord role updates from student to Alumni.
Graduation isn't the finish line. Grads move into an ongoing, non-linear track instead of another fixed course length. Overdrive members get this included; other tiers can upgrade into it.
Advanced intraday pattern work — multi-timeframe confluence, opening-range strategies, news-driven volatility sessions. Size scales off a rolling 60-trade sample, not a calendar date. Monthly recorded “battle review” with the cohort.
Advanced structures once defined-risk basics are proven — iron condors, calendars/diagonals, earnings volatility plays, still risk-first. Portfolio-level thinking: correlation across open positions, portfolio theta/delta targets, a rolling and adjustment playbook.
For alumni who want it systematic and testable — statistical pattern recognition, backtesting a rules-based setup, a simple pairs or mean-reversion framework. Smaller and slower by design.
